We created Serenology, a luxury eye contour anti-wrinkle cream, to provide the best everyday care for mature skin. The rich formula, based on an innovative combination of ecological oil taken from seeds of the musk rose, cornflower water and coenzyme Q10, effectively combats such problems as wrinkles, flabbiness, lack of suppleness and dryness of the skin, as well as puffiness and dark circles, while at the same time protecting against aggression from free radicals, UV radiation and other harmful external factors. Why Serenology is so effective We composed the luxury eye contour anti-wrinkle cream Serenology’s formula using suitably selected top-quality plant components, each of which is in itself a natural treasure trove of active substances. Together they combine to form a rich complex that provides the skin with everything it needs in the most effective, natural proportions. The star of this skin care cream is the innovatively employed oil from the seeds of musk roses, which acts as an effective rejuvenating agent. As a result, the cream acts “intelligently”, providing optimal stimulation of natural skin regeneration processes, protecting and caring for the skin. At the same time it has a soothing effect on the skin, with no irritation. Why Serenology is skin friendly In developing the Serenology formula, our prime aim was to make use of natural substances. The rich mix of active components comprises substances of plant origin that are gentle to the skin. Instead of ordinary water, we used flower water taken from the petals of the cornflower – an effective natural set of substances with soothing properties. Another exclusive feature of Serenology is the use of innovative natural emulsifiers and stabilisers that are kind to the skin. The key active components of Serenology Organic Musk Rose (Rosa moschata) Seed Oil Contains valuable retinoic acid alongside other fatty acids which combine to form an external  barrier that protects the skin from moisture loss. Retinoic acid, a form of vitamin A, has another exceptional feature, however: it has a significant effect in increasing the correctly structured collagen content in the dermis and as such is irreplaceable in caring for the mature skin. The trans-retinoic acid contained in rose seed oil is the most active form of vitamin A. In contrast to synthetic tretinoin, it may be used in complete safety, as it has no side effects in the form of skin irritation or teratogenic action. Musk rose seed oil is also a rich natural source of vitamin C, with a strong anti-radical and anti-ageing action. It thus helps to make the skin more supple, supports the epidermis restoration process, and provides nutritious components that are essential to optimum care for the mature complexion. Cornflower (Centaurea cyanus L.) Flower Water So-called cornflower hydrolat, obtained in the process of steam distillation of blooms of the cornflower Centaurea cyanus L., has antioxidant, emollient and softening properties, and also has an anti-oedematous and anti-inflammatory effect. It owes these values to the rich content of flavonoids and anthocyanins in the form of the blue colorants, cyanine and pelargine, which protect the plant from factors in the external environment such as pathogenic microorganisms or UV radiation. In addition, cornflower water is rich in mineral salts, especially manganese, and also contains pectins, organic acids and small amounts of tannins. Cornflower blooms have featured in the French Pharmacopoeia since 1884, and have been particularly valued in instances of inflammatory eye conditions. Oil from the evening primrose Oenothera biennis Of all botanical oils, this contains the most gamma-linolenic acid. As a result it has the most wide-ranging effect on the skin, restoring disturbed skin functions to normal: it moistens, nourishes, restores the skin’s protective function, creates a barrier against infection, exerts an anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory effect and restores the acid and hydrolipid balance. Coenzyme Q10 Provides the skin with excellent protection from the consequences of the harmful action of UV radiation, which causes the breakdown of collagen fibres. Has a strong rejuvenating and anti-wrinkle action, greatly improving the suppleness and elasticity of flabby skin. Natural plant ceramides Ceramides are the main component of the intercellular cement of the horny layer of the epidermis – they condition the proper functioning of the skin. As a cosmetic component, ceramides of plant origin repair the lipid protective coat of the epidermis, provide a 70% increase in moisturisation and protect against detrimental external factors. They have an impact on skin elasticity and give the skin a youthful appearance. Natural emulsifier The intricate combination of fatty acids, which from the chemical aspect is reminiscent of the composition of the external lipid layer of the epidermis, not only does not irritate the skin, it actually cares for the skin’s natural protective barrier, while at the same time helping valuable active substances penetrate it. Results Through the wide-ranging action of its natural active components, the luxury eye contour anti-wrinkle cream Serenology smooths out wrinkles, improves suppleness, elasticity and moisturisation of the skin, and disperses dark circles, while at the same time stimulating natural restoration processes. Use Apply each day, morning and evening, to thoroughly cleansed skin in the area around the eyes. Work gently into the skin. Store at a temperature between 5°C and 20°C, ideally in a refrigerator or a cool, shady place. Do not use when the expiry date shown on the pack has elapsed.
